Family Feast

You may notice, we have switched up the letters a bit. We are trying this to see what works best. We apologize if it causes any inconvenience, but thank you for your patience and for the food you bring, without which the Family feasts would not be possible!

ABW will be meeting at the Heart of the Valley care home on November 18th at 1:30 pm.
Soup Lunch Fundraiser
Freewill offering for the Chennai, India, Missions Trip. Fundraising goal for soup lunch: $2000

Our October ABW meeting will begin at 1:00 this month, in the vestry. October 21st. We will begin with a baby shower for Leah Myles, our missionary from the Philippines, and baby Theo. He is going into size 18 months. A light lunch will be served.
Family Feast

The next Family Feast will be on October 19, and we will be fellowshipping with Leah & Reuben Myles!! Please prepare according to the following plan:

Please keep in mind that we do not require you to bring serving utensils, as there are many in the church kitchen, and it is difficult to keep track of any that may need to be returned. Also, there will be a change in the cleanup in order to avoid interruptions. There will be trolleys and buckets out, and we will do our best to make it clear as to what goes where. Thank you for your patience as we try to make cleanup a little less chaotic.
Church Yard Sale
Yard Sale in Support of India Trip
There will be a yard sale held at MBC on October 18 from 8 am to 12 pm in support of the MBC short-term mission trip to Chennai, India. As you prepare for fall clean-up, please save any good used items (no clothing OR books please). Yard sale items can be dropped off at MBC between October 14-17. There will also be a bake table. If you are able to provide baked goods, please contact Melissa Westcott (melissa.westcott@outlook.com). Thank you.
Half Day Program
Middleton Baptist Church is once again providing an Early Dismissal (Half Day) Childcare Program for most half days during the school year. This program is designed for parents who either work outside the home or are in school themselves and are in need of childcare. Children enrolled in the program will be picked up at A.E.E.S. and walked over to the church, where they will eat the lunch they bring from home. After that, they will enjoy several educational and fun activities provided by the church. Pick-up time is 4:30 pm. Please use the School St. entrance & walk up to the Sanctuary.
Our theme on October 8th is Love Atlantic, where we will be making treats to spread love and show appreciation for our teachers. We will also be making cards to give to Nursing Home residents!

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
The Men’s Prayer Breakfast begins on October 4 at 8:00 am in the MBC Fellowship Hall. They meet on the first Saturday of each month.
The Spot - Bot Builders
Get ready to build, program, and compete! In Bot Builders, students in Grades 4–6 will team up to create and code their very own LEGO robots. Over the course of the program, you'll learn the basics of robotics and programming in a fun, hands-on way — all leading up to an exciting competition between teams on the final night!
Come join us for creativity, teamwork, and lots of robot fun!
Rally Night - June
Rally Nights are for students grades 6-12 and Young Adults up to age 30
Games: 6:30-7:30pm
Worship & Teaching: 7:30-8:30pm
Family Feast-Soup Lunch
For this coming Family Feast, the governance board has requested a soup lunch fundraiser to raise funds to go towards the wages for the summer student. Many of you are familiar with the format of the soup lunches held at our church in the past, and this one will be much the same.
For those requested to prepare a pot of soup or a dessert, we thank you in advance! For the rest of us, a chance to relax, enjoy the food provided and the fellowship. We do ask that you prayerfully consider a donation in lieu of bringing a meal.
